Trafalgar FyreBATT 50 (also known as Ryanbatt 502S) systems combine proven fire protection, faster installation and simplified specification into one complete solution. Backed by extensive fire testing, local technical support and the FREE Trafalgar System Selector App, Trafalgar FyreBATT 50 is an industry-leading and cost-effective solution for service penetrations. FyreBATT 50 is a high-density mineral fibre board coated with a fire-resistant ablative mastic.
Trafalgar FyreBATT 50 (also known as Ryanbatt 502S) systems comprise of a 50mm grey coated (non-combustible) high-density fire batt used in conjunction with high-performance fire sealants, intumescent wraps, fire collars and of course the industry-leading service penetration wrap – Trafalgar ServoWrap. ServoWrap is just 15mm thick, making it easier to install around service penetrations while reducing material waste. Unlike traditional penetration wraps, there’s no need to tape the ends, helping installers complete penetrations faster and with fewer installation steps.
These components have been fire tested to AS1530.4-2014 and allows the installer to create thousands of Fire Rated Systems with FRL’s up to -/180/180 (system dependent) in fire rated walls, floors and RISF ceilings making it one of the most fire tested systems in Australia. The Trafalgar FyreBATT 50 system components are manufactured under strict factory-controlled conditions, providing precise thickness, durability, and consistent fire performance and include:
- Trafalgar FyreBATT 50 – 50mm thick, 1200x600mm size grey coated (non-combustible) high-density fire batt
- Trafalgar ServoWrap – 15mm thick, non-itchy, 10m long roll needle-felt high temperature blanket foiled on one side (no need for taping edges)
- Trafalgar FyreMASTIC A-R (formerly Ryanmastic) – light grey 600ml sausages and 5Kg brush grade pails for sealing the batt edges and service penetrations (low VOC)
- Trafalgar FyreMASTIC HP-R (formerly Ryan HP-X) – intumescent high grade dark grey graphite expanding sealant (low VOC)
- Trafalgar FyreBAND GWS (formerly Ryanstrap) – 8mm thick intumescent strap for wrapping around service penetrations
- Trafalgar Unicorn Fire collar – a continuous fire collar tested with the FyreBATT 50 systems

Trafalgar FyreBATT 50 systems (also known as Ryanbatt 502S) have been independently tested in IANZ/NATA accredited laboratories to comply with AS1530.4:2014 & AS4072.1:2005, ensuring it meets the industry fire safety standards for sealing of penetrations under the National Construction Code clause C4D15, and S1C2.
