Trafalgar’s FyreFLOOR system combines INEX floor boards and Trafalgar’s Corex board ceiling systems to create a flexible and lightweight fire and acoustic-rated and LOAD BEARING floor solution for modular and other buildings. This system offers an alternative to traditional concrete floor slabs, providing fire-separation and acoustic functions while maintaining excellent performance and quality. FyreFLOOR systems consist of a finished fire-rated floor above and a fire-rated ceiling below, and they can be constructed using various configurations with timber and/or steel framing.

Service penetrations are a common challenge in modular construction, however one of the major benefits of using Trafalgar’s FyreFLOOR is that it is compatible with a range of our existing service penetration systems such as our retrofit FyreCOLLAR‘s, FyreBOX and Superstoppers, floor waste Bladerunners and sprinkler head seals and more.

The penetration systems detailed below have been physically fire tested to AS 1530.4-2014 and maintain the fire separation from fires below the floor. Please note that the NCC doesn’t have a test method for testing service penetrations with fire exposure from above, however as most of the service penetration systems are also tested in walls which do have a 2-way FRL there is a huge range of conservative fire testing reports that can be made available for performance based designs.
