Description
Trafalgar Corex Board Ceilings are the only fully fire tested 2-layer board ceilings that can provide FRL’s up to -/120/120, as well as maintaining the Resistance to Incipient Spread (RISF) of up to 120 minutes in a ceiling cavity. Using Trafalgar Corex will save you time and money, providing a fast and impact resistant fire barrier to complete fire compartmentation. These Corex ceilings are approved for an FRL as a stand-alone ceiling, but also can provide a floor/ceiling system in accordance with AS1530.4-2014. The Corex boards are simply screwed into suspended steel framing (furring channels etc) as well as rigid timber or steel beams and Posi-strut framing systems. Refer to the technical manual and AS1530.4-2014 reports for the full FRLs, construction details and other features.
Corex ceilings can also be used to protect steel beams without the need to clad or spray on fire protection to the steel. Lightweight floor ceilings systems are also available in conjunction with TRAFFEX –FyreFLOOR load-bearing boards for fire both from above and below
Service penetration systems are also available using Trafalgar Fyre stopping service penetrations.
