PASSIVE FIRE SOLUTIONS FOR
Curtain Walls
AS4284 WATERTIGHT FACADES
The primary function of Siderise® CWFS (Curtain Wall Fire Stop) system is to provide a continuous perimeter Fire, Smoke, Thermal and Acoustic seal by filling the void between internal compartment floors and walls and the external curtain wall. Siderise CWFS is perfect for AS4284 watertight façades.
Extensively Tested to Full Scale EN1364-4 and ASTM 2307 tests to achieve up to 3 hours performance on Non-Rated Curtain Walls.

CURTAIN WALLS
Explore our systems
Curtain walling is a non-structural façade system commonly used on mid- to high-rise buildings, valued for its clean, modern appearance and ability to protect occupants from the elements while maximising floor-to-floor natural daylight. To ensure long-term fire safety, these glazed façade systems must incorporate effective compartmentation solutions that deliver reliable fire resistance and are proven to perform under building movement and façade deflection.
Our extensively tested range of passive fire protection products and systems for curtain wall façades is purpose-designed to provide the required fire resistance for typically non-fire-rated, window-framed building envelopes.
Ensuring effective compartmentation between the floor slab and the façade—an area referred to as the spandrel—is critical to the fire safety of glazed façades. Siderise® systems are third-party tested and certified slab edge CW Perimeter Barrier Systems which not only inhibit fire spread but help preserve the performance of the spandrel assembly therefore the stability of the curtain wall— all whilst withstanding façade and floor slab movement over the lifetime of the building.
Siderise® systems incorporate a combination of the CW-FS Firestop and CW-FB Fireboard to provide protection for the curtail wall spandrel panel.

CURTAIN WALL FIRE STOP
CURTAIN WALL FIRE STOP
Siderise® CW-FS (Curtain Wall Fire Stop) restricts the movement of fire and smoke by sealing the gap between compartment floors or walls and the external façade. They feature a Lamella insulation core comprising durable vertically oriented stone wool fibres laterally compressed under factory-controlled conditions and held in place with aluminium foil facings. This allows them to accommodate building movement and façade deflection, ensuring a tight seal for the lifetime of the building.
Siderise CW-FB (Curtain Wall Fireboard) is a high density stonewool board specifically engineered to provide high levels of structural fire protection. Siderise CW-FB is an effective solution in preventing the ‘leap frogging’ of fire from one level of a building to another. In addition to shielding the spandrel panel, it protects the mullions and transoms in the spandrel zone of non-fire rated curtain wall framing systems from fire exposure, helping reduce the risk of deflection and deformation of these aluminium profiles in a fire scenario.
