Description
Fireshield® 920KS, an intumescent coating, provides advanced fire protection for structural steel, suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Ideal for open and closed steel sections, it offers fire resistance (FRL) from 30 to 120 minute. This innovative, environmentally friendly coating is designed to enhance the fire resistance of vulnerable structures. The coating system has no harmful chemicals and are easy to apply, making them the ideal choice to expose heritage features, including timber floors and structural components in historic buildings, without the need to hide these behind linings.
These solvent-free products boast low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions, contributing to a safer work environment during construction and a healthier indoor atmosphere post-completion. This feature is particularly crucial in cases like hospitals settings where air quality is paramount for patient well-being and recovery and other sterile environments.
This system also supports long-term sustainability objectives. Engineered for durability, these solutions are designed to last the project’s lifespan with minimal maintenance requirements. This longevity significantly reduces the need for frequent replacements or repairs, further minimising the facility’s environmental footprint over time.
